Epona Club Nature offers pony rides for children from 18 months by entrusting you with one or more ponies to go on a family ride in the heart of nature, in the forest of Saint-Germain and in an exceptional historical site (Château Park Saint-Germain-en-Laye, Grande Terrasse, Rond Royal, etc.).
The pony must be held in hand by an adult at all times. For the youngest children whose balance may be unstable, we ask for the presence of two adults: one who holds the pony, the other who is close to the child in safety.
We have selected companions suitable for the proposed walks who remain living animals with their own personalities. We have ponies of various sizes: mini-shetlands, shetlands and double ponies.
You can come with your own helmet that complies with the standards in force for riding, otherwise we will give you one with a cap.
We are here to guide you and explain the safety rules that will allow you to fully live this shared experience… in complete autonomy!
Prices :
1 hour: €35 per session or €29 with a card from €10 to €290.
1h30: €45 per session or €39 per session with a card from €10 to €390.
The tickets are undated, and are valid for 1 year. The tickets purchased must therefore be used during the defined period. Reservation before your visit to the site is mandatory. Once in possession of your ticket, contact the service provider to give you a day and a time slot. The reservation must be made at least 48 hours in advance.
Practical recommendations
- Departure from the Royal Gate - Mare Poreuse forest road – 78100 Saint-Germain-en-Laye
- By appointment only
- For walks of 1h or 1h30 with ponies already brushed, saddled and prepared for departure
- There is no guide, it is the parents who supervise the child.
- Recommended clothing: long pants, closed shoes that hold on to the feet, glasses with a cord. Open shoes to avoid
- Please arrive 15 minutes before the start of the walk.
- We accept children from 18 months for mounted walks.
