The Castle of Monte Cristo

Le Port-Marly

Presentation

In 1844 enriched by the success of the "Three Musketeers", Alexandre Dumas built a castle on the hill of Port-Marly. This charming residence with fully sculpted facades, where history, nature and the soul of the writer are omnipresent; is open to visitors. In the place of honor, above the front door, Alexandre Dumas himself seems to welcome his guests. On the pediment are the arms of his ancestors as well as his personal motto "I love who loves me".
